High performance, availability, scalability and flexibility
The 9240i – ES modular design creates an affordable method for realizing scalability of the 9240i Storage System – enabling customers to start small and grow big when they are ready. Dual backplane, redundant power supplies and up to 12 SAS drives combine to create a fully featured and highly available JBOD storage shelf in a 2U chassis. Four 3Gb/sec SAS interface ports allow further storage expansion with similar units. Both clustered and single 9240i configurations are supported.
The 9240i – ES adapts to a broad range of RELDATA Unified Storage solutions. The capability to mix both high-performance and high-capacity SAS technology within the same disk enclosure addresses the needs of tiered storage and ILM solutions.
Easy and intuitive management
The intuitive, easy-to-use RELDATA 9240i Storage Resource Management software provides a task-based interface that significantly reduces compexity of installation, configuration, management and diagnostic tasks. The management software allows new 9240i – ES storage expansion shelves to be easily and automatically integrated into existing tiered pool of virtualized storage without disruption, enabling unified storage solutions scaling to multi-petabytes of storage capacity.
