The diagram below shows how iSCSI can overcome a server failure or server upgrade. As the storage is not physically connected to the servers, the data sits within the Reldata 9240i on the network. Each block of disk storage is mapped to the servers using the IQN name which can easily be re-mapped to another server in minutes.
